A Shell Mobile

With no Sea Glass to pick up on the Failed Sea Glass expedition we came back with a small bucket of shells and some driftwood, had a play with them this morning

not quite shure why youtube selects other videos after the Mobiles one ?

New Sea Glass Mobile

Used a couple of pieces of Silecroft 'drift wood' to make a new Sea Glass Mobile with Shippersea Bay Sea Glass,  this time with 'Eggs, Sphere's and Jelly Beans, which makes the flat Parton Bay Mobiles easy !

Guess I'm easily amused ?

A failed Sea Glass Expedition

Arrived as the tide was going out, had breakfast on the beach walked along the receding tide line then back along the strand line, Not a Single Piece of SEA GLASS, but loads of shells and drift wood, so had a great day out

Guess they want Sea Glass Tourists, though there's nothing there, no village etc.

Another Sea Glass Mobile

My last x4 posts have been about collecting Sea Glass and the 22nd July's I drilled some and made a mobile First Mobile it visually worked that well, moving in the slightest breeze, I spent Sunday afternoon making another and also put my growing collection of Sea Glass pebbles into a glass measuring flask (Charity shop £1:50)

Just thought I'd share

24th July Hawthorn beach and Shippersea Bay

Left home 05:30 and drove to Easington, parked and walked along the clifftop path to Hawthorn beach, breakfast while

waiting for the tide to go out , to get to Shippersea Bay

so had an hour walking Hawthorn beach

came back and thought the tide might have gone out enough so set off

a couple of coves and headlands I'd to wait another 15 minutes for the tide to go out some more
before arriving at Shippersea Bay, looking South

and looking back to the last headland I came round

The Bear wanted to go to the Sculpture Park first

Then it was 4 hours walking up and down the beach with a stop for lunch

Set off back to beat the incoming tide

Hawthorn beach comes back into view

Spent another hour walking the beach

before climbing up the gorge under the railwy viaduct

Then walked back along the cliff top footpath passing Shippersea Bay where the tide had come in

Walked back to Easington where I was glad of a flask of cold water in the car, it had been a hot day. Drove home and I don't know if it was because it was a Friday but there were some speed lunatics on the A19, A61 and A59. Washed the finds this morning
