On the drive in I noted some places to photograph on the way back, here’s a few
Arnagill Tower at SE 15247-75728 at the head of Roundhill reservoir from the cattle grid on Pot Moor High Road
looking down into Lofthouse
looking down on Gouthwaite reservoir
Gouthwaite dam
Gouthwaite gate house
and just before Pateley Bridge at Corn Close what used to be a great Bikers pub with some wild disco’s and camping Friday nights back in the 1970’s, there's still a pub but now over the other side of the car park the Black sheep was on form !
climbing up out of Pateley at the top just before Greenhow is a new ? I don’t know what to call it “sculpture viewing platform ?” there’s a car park at SE 12148-64186
I thing it’s superb with panoramic views and a look into a working quarry
and even a look at Echelon with both Drax and Ferry Bridge power stations on the horizon
